Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage (“Part C”) offers additional insurance coverage that fills the gap between Medicare coverage and complete coverage.  For most seniors, Medicare alone takes care of about eighty percent of all health care needs.  A Medicare Advantage plan may take care of the rest.

The real benefit of Medicare Advantage is that it combines all of your coverage for hospital stays, doctor visits, outpatient care and preventive medicine into a single plan that’s easy to manage.  In other words, it makes your health care benefits easy.

Plus, many Medicare Advantage plans provide extra benefits for vision, hearing and prescription drug coverage.  Medicare Advantage is not a one-size-fits-all option.  Find a plan that offers the options and level of coverage you need.

Medicare Advantage Works for You!

Each Medicare Advantage plan is different. Some plans coordinate all of your health care through a primary care physician. Their job is to manage the care you need with the specialists and hospitals that deliver the care. In this type of plan, you may be required to select your doctors and the the hospital you will use.

Other Medicare Advantage plans are more flexible and allow you to receive health care from any eligible provider. Medicare-eligible providers accept the terms, conditions and payment rates of the plan before providing coverage. Providers can decide whether or not to accept those terms, conditions and payment rates each time they furnish covered services.
